Messy Church
Messy Church is church for all ages. We love to help families encounter God together through Bible stories, song, lots of craft and even some messy play! We start each Messy Church with the ‘celebration’ – a story and some fun singing and dancing. Following this we have a variety of craft activities that follow the theme of the story including some messy play activities for younger children. Messy Church is a place where you can come and meet new friends and families, get stuck into new activities and learn about God and grow in his love through all age worship, creativity and by getting a bit messy! We end all our Messy Church events with some food (normally some party food) that we share together.
Messy Church is a free event, there is no need to book but children must come accompanied by parent/carers.
Messy Church is run globally by many churches. It is coordinated nationally by the Bible Reading Fellowship. We in Bryn Sion are delighted to be part of this wonderful movement that brings families and communities together in fun, creative, and even messy ways, to encounter God and grow in God’s love together.
Messy Church is an event that focuses on God through creativity and celebration. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures to come and explore who Jesus is through creativity and fun activities.
When you arrive you will be welcomed by someone from our team at the door. When you first attend, or if it has been a while since you last attended, you will be asked to complete a registration form. You will then enter the sports hall where we will have seats set out in one of the corners and this is where we start with our celebration! Our Messy Church team is made up of a planning group and event volunteers. They are people who are part of our Bryn Sion church family and include experienced school teachers, child care professionals, and other very clever and creative people!

We hold our Messy Church Events at Dare Community Sports Hall in Trecynon.
Safeguarding
Our Messy Church team is made up of volunteers who have all completed an enhanced DBS check and follow our Safeguarding policy and procedures. We also ask all parents to register their child on arrival.
