Bryn Sion Baptist Church, Aberdare, is looking to appoint a Youth Pastor.  This is an exciting opportunity to serve Jesus Christ, working with young people and families in a supportive church family, our wider community, and in schools. 

This is a full-time position, but we would also consider a job share arrangement with one part time youth pastor and another part time schools and community worker.  The salary is £24,000 to £27,500 depending on qualifications and experience, plus work related expenses and enrolment into a pension scheme.

The successful candidate will be a leader with a pastoral heart for young people and a passion to reach out to young people beyond the church community. He or she will have experience of building good personal relationships with young people and will take a significant role in developing our youth ministry and team of volunteers.

He or she will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service, which we will facilitate.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder must be a committed Christian.
